I received an invitation to join a group of girlfriends for the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and I was like, 'Absolutely!' The first year, I had no clue what to expect, but by the next year, I was fully prepared.
 

Let me tell you, this is an experience you absolutely have to check out. Even better, gather a group of friends and participate in the parade! It’s a blast. Yes, it can be tiring, and the crowds are intense, but it's so worth it.
